Iris and I are very happy with our granny flat built by Aztec Building Solutions. We found Aaron to be helpful in advising us about what would work better than an alternative. Aaron kept us informed about when things were going to happen at every stage of the project. The result was very good, particularly the kitchen. It is the most well-planned kitchen Iris and I have ever had in 53 years of marriage.

I am pleased to be able to write a testimonial/letter of recommendation for Aaron Boucher. My husband and I first met Aaron almost two years ago, when we engaged him to build a carport at our home. The first time we met Aaron we found him to be polite and courteous – he was enthusiastic and motivated and keen to understand what we wanted and to assist with his own ideas.

The carport looks terrific – we were thrilled with Aaron’s work. We didn’t want a cheap looking ‘add on’, but a solid structure that complemented the house, which is what Aaron achieved. Aaron also took care of all the paperwork in terms of the applications for building approval and so on, and kept us fully informed of the process.

Last year, we engaged Aaron again, for a much bigger building project – a house extension. Again, we weren’t disappointed. We really are thrilled with the extension, which gives us much needed extra living space and heaps of extra natural light.

The work involved removing an external verandah and increasing the size of our main living area, installing a new kitchen and laundry and moving internal walls and columns. Aaron did much of the work while we were overseas which worked well, and he was in regular contact with us, providing updates and progress reports.

I think one of the main reasons I would recommend Aaron is his attitude – he has a positive attitude, he is polite, reliable and trustworthy. He is also keen and motivated to work and to help you achieve the renovations and improvements you desire. Aaron is easy to work with and is always available to chat, answer questions (and I had lots of them, often very basic ones!) and share with you his thoughts and opinions.

Our house is ideal for us now but, with four children, we know we’ll need to look at another extension in the future, and it will be Aaron we’ll call on to do the job. Because we trust him and we have full confidence in him doing a great job.

We have no hesitation in recommending Aaron to you as an honest, reliable and skilled builder.

Aaron rebuilt our deck, which was beginning to rot through due to age.  He rebuilt it using merbau and it looks fantastic. Throughout the project I was impressed with how Aaron envisioned and designed the deck in a way that increased the space available while maintaining the look and feel of the house.

He communicated effectively all the details of the work, and project managed the time and budget according to plan.  It was a complex project for a number of reasons including the elevation and the fact that the deck beams were structural and continued into the house.

We are extremely happy with the result and would recommend Aaron without hesitation.

Aaron did a fantastic job in converting what was a dingy, leaky double garage into a fantastic storage/music/rumpus room. The room is everything we want it to be and has become a favourite room for our family.

Aaron was very easy to communicate with and explained everything extremely well. After having met a couple of builders before Aaron in our initial search for the right builder, it was clear that Aaron had more time for us as a potential customer, and made sure he was clear with what we were wanting rather than glossing over details as others builders had done.
